The search for a perfect bridal dress can be daunting. Sometimes it can be a love on first sight. At other times, the search can be so long that it seems impossible to find a perfect dress. Although it doesn’t matter where you live, preparation for a wedding van be quite hectic and stressful. However, for those who live outside Pakistan options are limited regarding the hunt for a bridal dress. One can’t simply take a flight to Pakistan whenever needed. Even if it is possible, designers can’t always make your dress ready in a week.

That’s why we have listed few options for Pakistanis who are living abroad and searching for options to buy a bridal dress for their wedding.

  • Getting your bridal dress made in Pakistan by a Pakistani Fashion Designer
If you really want a designer dress and have the time to fly back to Pakistan then go for it! Thanks for the internet that allows us to see almost every designer’s latest collection. Contact can be made through their email or phone which is great because it allows you to get in touch with them before jumping on the plane. Because you can meet them in person and tell them exactly what you want, the final dress will look exactly how you've imagined. They can give you styling tips. At the end you have your real designer dress to show on your wedding!

  • Order it online through a webshop
More and more Pakistani web-boutiques are coming up. Webshops such as Bargello and Label E-store have lots of variety in bridal dresses. However, it is advisable to read reviews on online webshops before ordering as some webshops don’t deliver what they say. Also, an ill-fitted bridal dress can really ruin your day so measurements needs to be exact. You can always contact the customer services of the webshop before placing an order to tell them that you are interested in a particular dress. Give them exact measurement and ask for the estimated delivery date so that there are no surprises.

  • Facebook boutiques
Facebook is not only a social networking service but is also great for businesses as well. There are many home-based designers who illustrate their work on the Facebook. The consumer can communicate with the designer through Facebook. Read the reviews and comments on the page. As with the webshop, don’t make the payment until you are 100% satisfied with every aspect of the order.

  • Seek help from your family/relatives in Pakistan
Do you have a family member, relative or a friend living in Pakistan who is willing to do the legwork for you? Then don’t hesitate to ask! If you want a designer bridal dress but don’t have the time or money to go to Pakistan, you can ask your family member or relatives who live in Pakistan if they can meet the designer on your behalf. Even if you don't know exactly which dress you want, you can explain them what you like and they can search it for you and send you pictures so that you have an idea what is in the market.

  • Find a Pakistan bridal boutique around your area
If you live in a big city in the UK or USA then there might be Pakistani boutiques in or near your area. Such boutiques may sell their collection at a bit higher price as compared to buying a dress from Pakistan, but it is still a good option if you can’t be bothered to go to Pakistan. Again, you can tell them exactly what you want and alteration if needed.

Hopefully you will have an idea as where to look for your bridal dress. For more information visit our Fashion Designer page &  for contact details of Pakistani Fashion Designers. Happy shopping!

Gone are the days when Mehndi was supposed to be in the drawing room with the bride sitting on a couch and all her cousins and friends singing and playing dholak on the floor. Nowadays big halls with extravagant stages, shiny dance floor and trendy decoration are hired for the Mehndi Day. Green and yellow are the two colours associated with Mehndi. However, the stage and decoration of Mehndi Day doesn't need to follow these traditional colours.
